FESTIVALS :
The Herath(shivaratri):
An interesting fact about kashmir pandit festivals,needs investigation,is that some of these are celebrated a day of the celebrations by Hindus in other part of the country.Shivaratri,regarded as the most important festival for indians.
NAVREH:
Kashmiri pandits celebrate their New Years Day on the first day of the bright half of the month of Chaitra and calls it Navreh-the word navreh derived from sanskrit word means "NEW YEAR".
MUSIC OF KASHMIR,JAMMU:
kashmir music reflects the rich musical heritage and cultural legacy of the kashmir.Traditionally the music composed by the ethnic Kashmiris has a wide range of musical influences in composition.
JAMMU DRESS:
Peshwaj:
The traditional ghagra choli was then replaced by thr peshwaj for women which flows to the ankles which would sometimes be worn with a suthan.The men would wear the jammu within the suthan.
