CULTURE IS THE ART OF LIVING
The Gujarat's get their lineagefrom the Gujars who came to India along with the Huns and when they were travelling and had to cross through Punjab they got settled in Gujarat. The Gujarati's are aminly Indo aryan origin and of which at least 20% constitute the tribal grooup like Bhils, kolis, Dhubla, Naikida and Macchi-kharwa who still exist in the state.

                                                                                           

CULTURE:
The Gujarati's are known for their dievsre cultural heritage and rich traditions.The lifestyle of the people of Gujarat is very blanced because of the fact that they have a perfect system of learning,religious practises and excellent forms of artistic expressions.Their culture not only spread in Gujarat it has been widespread to different parts of the world and now regonised as the international culture.

COSTUME:
Like any other culture of the country, Gujarathis also adorn themselves with mangalsutras, necklaces, noserings, bangles, earrings and rings, toe rings and bracelets.It is a must among the married women of Gujarat to wear a red bindi which may be either powder or sticker on their forehead.The most common traditional outfit for the Gujarathi ladies are saris which are draped in such a way that the pallu comes over the front of their right shoulder and across the chest tucked into thier waist.Traditional attire of males are Dhotis and a kurta is worn on top.The traditional outfits of ladies are chania choli and of men it is called as kedia dress.

CUISINE:
Mostly Gujarathi food is vegetatrian because the state is dominated by Jains and the Vaishnavas.Most of their staple food includes wheat and millet varieties like jowar and bajri.The food is generally served on a metal tray which is called as thali and 4-5 small bowls placed on it.These thali mainly consists of roti,dal or kadhi, sakzi also known as shaak and rice.Ghee is must in tehir food.Sugar is alternated by jaggery.Some of the most common foods are roti,dal,streamed vegetables,homemade pickles,buttermilk and salad.

  3. i think gujarat is rich there in their farming , they consider farming is their fist culture. but this blog dosen't convey about there importance.
